You are encouraged to read the following terms and conditions carefully.

BOOKINGS & QUOTES

Bookings can be placed online: www.thesurfyamba.com.au or by calling The Surf Yamba on (02) 5626 2021. Reservations are subject to availability and pricing at the time of booking. You agree to pay the rate for each night of your stay and any additional charges up until the time you have departed the accommodation. The accommodation may be occupied by you only for the period stated on the booking confirmation.

It is your responsibility to ensure that all the details on your confirmation documents are correct and to bring to our attention any errors or discrepancies within 48 hours of booking.

PAYMENT POLICY

One night’s refundable deposit is required to secure booking, with full payment required 21 days prior to arrival.

Bookings made 21 days or less will require payment in full at time of booking.

If payment is not received by the due date, The Surf Yamba reserves the right to cancel the booking.

CANCELLATION  POLICY

  • Cancellations made 30 days or more prior to arrival will receive full refund of any funds paid.

  • Cancellations made 29 to 15 days prior to arrival will be charged 1 night cancellation fee.

  • We do not offer refunds for bookings cancelled 14 days or less.

NOTE

  • If a cancelled booking is resold the guest will be refunded the days resold.

  • The Surf does not accept verbal cancellations.

  • Cancellation refunds may take 7 to 10 business days to be processed.

BUYOUT / EXCLUSIVE USE PAYMENT POLICY

To enjoy the hotels roof top spaces for private events all 12 rooms must be booked for a minimum 3 nights. Restrictions apply.

Guests may book as a group or individually.

  • Cancellations made 45 days prior to arrival will be charged 1 night cancellation fee. 

  • Cancellations made 45 to 30 days prior to arrival will be charged 2 nights cancellation fee.

  • We do not offer refunds for bookings cancelled 30 days or less.

NOTE

  • If a cancelled booking is resold the guest will be refunded the days resold.

  • Cancellation refunds may take 7 to 10 business days to process.

  • If booked individually and dates decrease, any group discounts will be voided.

RATES & CHARGES

Rates quoted are in Australian dollars and subject to change at any time. Rates are inclusive of GST. Any verbal quote given is an estimate only, which will be subject to written advice on confirmation of the booking. The price of your accommodation cannot be guaranteed until a written quote has been processed and deposit received.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

We strongly recommend you purchase comprehensive travel insurance. We suggest that the policy should include, but not be limited to, the reimbursement of any monies paid in the event the travel is cancelled, loss or damage to personal baggage and loss of money and medical expenses.

PHOTOS, FILMING, DRONES & COMMERCIAL USE

We respect our guests' privacy. It is illegal to take images of, or film guests and their children without the individuals or parents’ permission.

While we passionately support creative initiatives, any activity of a commercial or promotional nature is not permitted anywhere within the property without the prior written approval of hotel management.

KIDS AT THE SURF

Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult to stay at The Surf.

Infant - upto 3 years

Child - 4 to 13 years

Some categories  can accommodate unto 2 children and 1 infant or child 

Additional bedding may consist of rollaway bed or mattress and additional $25 per bed per child.

Infants stay for free.

Roll away single beds and cots are available upon request (numbers are limited and subject to availability). To avoid disappointment secure yours early by emailing stay@thesurfyamba.com.au

Children must always be accompanied by an adult in the pool area. 

ROOM OCCUPANCY

Under no circumstance can the number of guests staying exceed the number booked, unless prior approval by management.  Any persons exceeding the maximum occupancy of the room category will be considered trespassers and asked to vacate.

CHECK-IN & CHECK OUT

Hotel check-in is at 2:00PM and check-out no later than 10:30 AM.  If you require a late checkout or early check-in, please discuss with Reception as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate your requests, but no guarantees. An additional fee may also apply.

Early check-in between 12 noon & 2pm maybe arranged but subject to availability. Earlier than 12 noon a full day’s tariff will apply.

The hotel provides luggage storage for hotel guests pre or post stay at no extra charge. 

CLEANING

Your room will be refreshed daily with a general tidy, replace towels, and replenish your minibar. If staying 5 or more nights bed linen will be replaced on the third day.

SMOKING

The Surf is 100% smoke-free including inside rooms, on balconies and all public spaces. We ask those who smoke to always be a minimum of three metres from the outside of the building before lighting up. Our smoke detectors are sensitive, and linked directly to the fire brigade. If by chance you activate a smoke detector in your room. You will be held liable for the coast of the fire brigade call out. Currently $1,800

PETS

The Surf loves creatures big and small. On occasion and with prior approval a small dog or cat may be allowed to stay, at the discretion of management. PERSONAL BELONGINGS

You acknowledge that we do not cover your personal belongings under our insurance policy and therefore take no responsibility for any loss or damage of the occupants’ personal property left on the premises and agree that you will not make any claim against us for any damages or loss to your personal belongings regardless of how or where the loss or damage occurred.

CAR PARKING

The Surf has an onsite car park, available to access 24/7. The car park has a maximum entrance height of 2.3 metres. Car parking spaces are limited. First in first serve. A council parking area is directly opposite. The Surf is not liable for any loss or damage to a vehicle nor to any property or effects of any persons using the car park, nor for any personal injury suffered by them however caused whether from negligence of the Surf. 

BEHAVIOUR

Parties or gatherings are strictly prohibited and a noise curfew of 10pm must be abided by. Disturbance to other hotel guests and neighbours including excessive noise and music is prohibited and may result in eviction without refund. If a noise complaint is received a first warning will be given, if a second complaint is received this will result in immediate eviction with no refund.

AUDIO / VIDEO

For the comfort of all and when using our rooftop spaces please use headphones whIle listening to music or streaming movies or games.

POOL POLICIES

Open 7 am – 8 pm daily

The pool is exclusively for the enjoyment of hotel guests whilst checked in to The Surf.

  • Maximum 4 persons allowed in pool at any one time

  • Rinse off at the poolside shower before entering the pool.

  • There is no lifeguard on duty. Swimming is at your own risk.

  • Children under the age of 12 must always be accompanied by an adult.

  • No smoking or e-cigarettes are allowed in the pool area.

  • For health and safety, swim nappies are required for children under 3. No glass is allowed within the pool.  

  • Think safely, no standing or sitting on the edge, rough play, diving, running or pushing at the pool.

  • Any injuries must be reported immediately to The Surf management.

  • The Surf reserves the right to refuse access to the pool area.

Guests must comply with all pool policies. Violations could result in being asked to leave the pool area or The Surf premises.

MOMENTOS & AMENITIES

If you would like to purchase room items or amenities as a memento. Reception will gladly give you supplier details. If you remove items and forget to let us know, no problem, we will bill your credit card and forward your receipt.

BREAKAGES & DAMAGES

Damage or breakages must be reported to management immediately. Breakages or damages of furniture, furnishings, property and or communal areas that are caused by any guest and/or a guest’s visitor will be charged and recouped in full of the guest’s credit card. Excess cleaning required on departure or replacement of items removed from the accommodation will be charged to the guest’s credit card.

LIABILITIES

You acknowledge that we do not accept liability for any injury, damage, loss, additional expenses, and disruptions due to electrical storms or other acts of God caused directly or indirectly by events, which are beyond our control and agree not to make any claim in relation thereto.

NO TENANCY

You agree that regardless of your length of stay there is no tenancy or other rights created under any Landlord and Tenant laws and there are no such laws that apply to your stay.

CHANGES BEYOND OUR CONTROL

Compensation will not apply if a significant change is made for reasons beyond our control. These include war, the threat of war, riots, civil disturbances, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural and nuclear disasters, fire, epidemics, health risks, changes due to rescheduling or cancellation of flights by an airline or alteration of the airline or aircraft type; closed or congested airports or ports, hurricanes and other actual or potential severe weather conditions, the act of government or public authorities or other circumstances amounting to force majeure and/or Acts of God.

BREACH OF TERMS & CONDITIONS

You agree that should you or your guests breach any of the terms and conditions. You will pay to us the total loss or damage that we suffer because of that breach and hereby authorise us to debit your credit card or apply your refundable deposit in payment of that loss or damage and we may evict you and your guests without notice

SECURING A RESERVATION AT THE SURF YAMBA CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
